CGI Platform URL Changed
As the visa booking platform (CGI portal) changed its URL, it is mandatory to update the Check US Visa Slots Chrome extension. Please follow the steps mentioned update chrome extension
NO NEED TO FOLLOW THE BELOW. JUST FOLLOW THE STEPS FROM THE URL ABOVE.
Around 10:00 AM EST (08:30 PM IST) on Feb 11, the visa booking platform (CGI portal) changed its URL from cgifederal.secure.force.com to atlas.my.salesforce-sites.com. As the chrome extension takes screenshots based on the URL, your contributions are not sent to the server now.
We have already submitted the update to the chrome play store for review. The approval may take 2-4 working days. Until then, you may see fewer contributions on the platform. Once approved, the extension will automatically take your contributions from the new URL.
Until then, please follow the steps below to manually install the new chrome extension
- Download the latest code https://checkvisaslots.com/chrome-extension-feb-11-2023.zip
- Unzip the downloaded file (remember this location)
- On your desktop chrome browser, paste chrome://extensions/ in the URL and press enter
- Enable Developer mode on the top-right corner of the page
- Click Load unpacked on the top-left corner of the page
- Point to the unzipped folder location (Pt. 2)
- With that, a new tab WILL open to give your access code and submit
- You may now go to the visa appointment booking platform as usual and notice your contributions are updated.
All ACTIVE subscriptions, on Feb 11th, will automatically extended for another 7 days.
