As the visa booking platform  (CGI portal) changed its URL, it is mandatory to update the Check US Visa Slots Chrome extension. Please follow the steps mentioned update chrome extension

NO NEED TO FOLLOW THE BELOW. JUST FOLLOW THE STEPS FROM THE URL ABOVE.From July 29th, the visa booking platform migrated to a new website https://www.usvisascheduling.com/en-US/.  As our chrome extension relies on the website, any of our browser extensions with less than v4.0.0 will not work.

We have already developed the code and submitted the update to the chrome extension webstore for review, on Jul 29th at 9 PM EST.  Once the chrome extension is approved, your browser extension will automatically be updated and take your contributions from the new portal. The approval may take 2-4 working days. 

Until then, please follow the steps below to manually install the new chrome extension

Manual Chrome Extension Installation

  1. Download the latest code https://checkvisaslots.com/usvisascheduling-chrome-extension-jul29.zip
  2. Unzip the downloaded file (remember this location)
  3. On your desktop chrome browser, paste chrome://extensions/ in the URL and press enter
  4. Enable Developer mode on the top-right corner of the page
  5. Click Load unpacked on the top-left corner of the page
  6. Point to the unzipped folder location (Pt. 2)
  7. With that, a new tab WILL open to give your access code and submit
  8. You may now go to the visa appointment booking platform as usual and notice your contributions are updated.
All ACTIVE email subscriptions, on Jul 24th, will automatically be extended for 15 more days
